Today's discoveries include:
Quizzes do not have the orange dot to indicate ungraded submissions and the green check does not auto apply when the grade is entered like a "traditional" assignment does when using the new SpeedGrader interface. This makes it hard for a teacher who has 200+ students or really more than just a few students to know where they have left off when in the grading workflow.
The other missing feature is that when a student has submitted a URL assignment, it does not have the URL link readout box at the top of the screen like the previous SpeedGrader did. This makes it impossible to access the URL that the student submitted, all you get is the snapshot.

Is this really resolved? I still have this issue, though more specifically, the checkmark shows up only if I leave and return to the SpeedGrader.
All students in this list were graded, even the ones with the orange circle:
