Hi @seiyatazoe Why not just do it the old-fashioned way? How do I copy a quiz to another course in New Quizzes?, or How do I copy content from one course to another course (legacy Quizzes)? Otherwise, hopefully an API guru will drop by and tell you how to do it the hard way. Kelley

Hi @DariushKhezrimo Using the Moderate Quiz feature, you can easily set different time limits for every student in your class if so desired. Hi @RonaldLee Doing what you described would result in a new instance of Canvas opening in a new tab on a browser or just opening a new instance of Canvas on a mobile device. Not ideal. What I do when I want this action is center a link to the "Next" canvas page at the bottom of the last tabbed page. That way your page of tabbed content looks good, and students can naturally move to the next page of tabbed content. Good luck, Kelley

Hi @ggillombardo There is currently no way to do this in Canvas. Even if the quizzes were isolated to their own assignment group, Canvas cannot be set to ignore a grade from one quiz while keeping the grade from another. Might be easier to just set the first quiz to not count towards the students' final grade, then keep the score from the second test, or simple let them attempt the first one more than once. Hi @speele If you set the question group in the quiz to draw 15 random questions from the question bank, then yes you will get repeats, and you will get repeats within the same student's quiz. The only way to make this work is to create a large enough question bank to make the randomization effective. You also asked, "Alternatively, is there a better way to achieve this?" My question is, Achieve what? What are you trying to achieve? Kelley

I can, however, tell you that you absolutely must have your own login credentials and cannot log into the parent app using your child's credentials. Hi again @johnmartin In looking more closely at the release notes back through the first mention of the Discussions/Announcements Redesign, I can find nothing that states that dual due dates have been implemented. I see that it is coming, but I do not think it is yet here. Kelley

Hi @johnmartin I just read the Release note, then enabled the new feature in one of my sandboxes. I do not see a multiple due-date option. So then I checked the Instructor Guides, and see no instructions for this capability; although, the guide does seem to be updated for this new beta! Hopefully, some clarification will come! Kelley

@b_lockhart-gilr Nicely stated! I have heard that the new engineering team working on New Quizzes actually cares about the users and making New Quizzes work for users. However, I hear that through a back door to a back room. I would be more inclined to believe that if I heard it in a banner splashed across the home screen of this Community! I would be more inclined to believe this if it were touted to clients by their CSMs, and reverberated through the venue at an InstCon. Canvas has a history of being upfront. open and transparent! Instead, we are given this "Bodacious Bunglers" (or whatever the hell it is called) propaganda posting telling us our expectations are too high, that if we really understood "innovation" we would not have such high expectations, and if we really understood product development in the 21st Century, we should have no expectations at all! YES, MY EXPECTATIONS ARE HIGH! And, I am dag-nab-it dangdoodle proud of that. Those same high expectations are what took me to Canvas in the first place. Those high expectations are what drove me to try to convince our entire state consortium to go to Canvas. Those same high expectations are what keep me a fan of Canvas, but not a fan of this truly garbage new quizzing tool. I expect better from Canvas! Much better! And yes, I expect INNOVATION! Honest innovation that improves teaching and learning! Kelley

Hi @avanvliet Nope, this functionality has not yet been added/changed in Canvas. However, there are other ways to manage this in your courses....... Permit your in-person students to submit their assignments online. Create a separate section for your in-person students, and offer two versions of the assignment, assigned only to each section. In-person students' assignment set to no submission or on paper, and online students set to online submission. Set the assignments to no submission or on-paper, then manually grade all students. Hi @qmartin Since Canvas is a relational database, the file copy resides in a table in that database, and is associated with the course it is copied into - in other words, it is in that second course, but has been flagged somehow within that database to not count towards your course limit. But you really need to talk to a Canvas engineer for the full skinny! Your school's CSM (Customer Success Manager) can likely hook you up. Good luck, Kelley

Hi @pramukhbelam Canvas does not include a certificate of completion feature, so if you are supposed to get a cert, it has to come from the teacher or the school, or through a modification of Canvas made by your school. This is a global community of Canvas users much like yourself, and we only have access to our own courses and accounts and cannot troubleshoot this for you. You will need to contact your teacher for assistance, and perhaps your school. You can contact your teacher from within Canvas by following this guide lesson: How do I send a message to a user in a course in the Inbox as a student? Good luck, Kelley

Hi @ljones4 By creating graded activities (quizzes, assignments and Discussions) that are aligned with those competencies - meaning, if the student successfully completes the activity, then they have demonstrated that same level of achievement of the competency! You do not grade competencies, outcomes or objectives; you grade the things that students do that can demonstrate they have achieved those things - regardless of what names you give them. Now, with all of that being said, what you are asking is not easy, and is something educators have been struggling with since we first climbed down from the trees! That's okay, Canvas has some tools that will help. First, check out Mastery Paths: Mastery Paths (video) How do I use MasteryPaths in course modules? How do I add conditional content to a MasteryPath source item? How do I assign a conditional assignment for students to complete in MasteryPaths? In education we tend to refer to competencies as outcomes. Yes, I know they are not exactly the same thing, but for your purposes they can be, and Canvas has some strong outcomes tools at both the Account and the Course level. Mastery Paths is intricately connected to outcomes. I would suggest reviewing the entire Outcomes chapter of the Canvas Instructor Guide. How do I create an Outcome for a course? How do I manage outcome mastery scales in a course? Combined with Canvas Grading Rubrics so that student achievement is measured accurately and fairly: How do I add a Rubric in a course? How do I align an outcome with a rubric in a course? This will get you started, but it would be so much easier if you had a local mentor to sit down with you and help you get started! Hi @naboznyk No, that is not currently possible in Canvas. You could create a new Idea Conversation for this functionality in this community. How do idea conversations work in the Canvas Community? How do I create a new idea conversation in the Canvas Community? Or, you could copy all of your quizzes into a new module that you call "Practice Quizzes" or something similar, set those copies to not graded and multiple attempts. Your students could then use them at their leisure for practice. You could even use the Redirect Tool to make a link to that module in the course menu. Good luck, Kelley
