@AbdelkarimBetta would you mind sharing the solution? We're still unable to pull the entire class. Thanks!

@AkosFarago
Please count me in for the video editing, as well. We are trying to pull our computing facultly away from Panopto over to Studio. The other platform we run is Panopto and even though it's not as user-friendly as Studio, it's still a way more robust tool than Studio in many aspects.
Panopto is searchable, it shows thumbnails of PPT slides, the reports available on the backend for us admins are wonderful - just to name a few.
If Studio could do these things, it would be a lot easier to convince the rest of our faculty to move over. Having a reporting feature would also make it a lot easier for me to justify the cost of Studio as it currently accounts for over a quarter of my budget. The current analytics available to admins is woefully lacking if you can call them analytics at all.
Considering the cost of Studio and how long it has been available, I expected it to be a lot more robust by this point.

What about reports on the back-end for us admins? We have no way of pulling any valuable information. Take a look at the reports that Panopto offers, even Canvas. Why can't Studio provide us with the level of reporting? I'm having a hard time justifying the price of Studio to the budget committee when I have no data to back-up my claims. All it gives me are some worthless charts, the top 10 users, top 10 storage users, & a .csv that's useless. Please show the admins supporting your product locally some love and provide us with reports we can run for our college as a whole.

I'm with @kmeeusen & @b_lockhart-gilr - New Quizzes is not innovative, it's a step in the wrong direction. As the lead admin, I'm not encouraging our faculty to use it. It's cumbersome and unintuitive, it also doesn't have some of the key features of Classic that faculty have stated are vital to them. How it is innovative to remove key features and functions of something as vital as quizzes? You have heard folks screaming on all of your forums, yet your answers are all the same - "Trust us - you'll love it! Once we get it all fixed that is." How is it innovative to push something out that STILL does not work as expected after years of tweaking? We have been promised great things with quizzes and yet we still sit here with nothing but talk and folks telling us we're not innovative enough.
I guess you are going to continue following in Microsoft's steps and testing your "improvements" on the end-users. Our faculty are not going to stand for that. All I can say if when the tickets start rolling in with complaints next July - I will not be responding to them. They will all be escalated to Instrucutre and you can explain this innovative mess to my faculty.

@Steven_S I respectfully disagree with your assessment of 3 & 4. It's not that we don't have confidence in our faculty. Some of it is due to understaffing in eLearning and the fact that not all institutions require Canvas training of their faculty. The ones that should read the messages choose to ignore these types of emails. Even if they do read them, it doesn't necessarily mean they understand the impacts of those dates. Quite a few of our faculty aren't trained teachers, they are from industry and teach a quarter out of the year. We also have a high turnover rate in our adjuncts teaching gen eds. I do the best I can trying to keep everyone up-to-speed.
Given that I'm responsible for supporting our institution's LMS alone (over 3,000 FTEs & 500+ faculty) I need a little more control over what happens during our quarters. I can control when students are added to course shells, thus controlling to some degree when they can begin accessing course content, but I also need some control over when course accesses will become read-only regardless of what date was entered by the faculty without having to go on a course-by-course basis.
It's getting to the point where instructors have more controls, features, and functions than the admins do.

@Steven_S it's supposed to work with Respondus, but it does not. There were problems with quizzes containing over 50 questions - some students received all questions, others just the 50, while others a random number. That issue has supposedly been fixed, but we have opted not to try it for obvious reasons. Our Nursing faculty have all moved back to Classic Quizzes due to the number of problems they've experienced with Respondus and New Quizzes. Those issues were not just limited to not all questions being given. We have recommended that if you want to use Respondus in any fashion, then use Classic Quizzes.

We've just had a couple of instructors report the same thing. The way it's formatting the document is rendering it useless for grading. I really do not want to have to tell my faculty they have to download all the papers to grade them. Someone mentioned pre-formatted version. What is that and can it be "used" while in the DocViewer?

I agree with @arovner . Our campus has postponed switching to NewQuizzes due to the number of issues with them. This is just another reason to not make the switch. Why do we have to request this be addressed, why not treat it as a bug and fix it?

Hello Erin, Thanks a million! What the IT folks are testing won't work in the beta environment, they have to wait for production. We learned this late yesterday evening. The information you provided is perfect! Thank you so very much. Cheers, Niki

Thanks for the heads up. Always appreciated. Does anyone know what time of day the updates begin? Our IT team will need to test the SAML update and were wondering when the best time would be. I didn't have an answer. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This was my first InstructureCon and I had an absolutely Kumbayawesome time! So much to see and learn and so little time. I truly enjoyed the venue, it was absolutely beautiful and the folks were all very helpful. The app was awesome!!! I used it all the time. It was extremely helpful in keeping track of what I wanted to learn about and where I needed to be at any given time. I thought the whole Camp concept was great. I learned a lot from the various sessions. I managed to get a bit of networking in between sessions. The time between sessions was really nice. It gave you a chance to use the facilities, grab a beverage, and still get to your next session comfortably. I didn't feel like I was running around like a loon trying to get to my next session on time. The only problem that I experienced was how crowded each venue was in terms of seating. In every session, including keynotes, we sat shoulder to shoulder. Some airlines have more space than we did in some of those rooms. If they could have just put a few inches on either side it would have been much more enjoyable. :smileyconfused: On the same note, a place to sit while eating would have been great. Seating at tables was pretty scarce. However, I must admit that Instructure appeared to be getting real time feedback, as the seating availability at meals seemed to increase daily. Kudos to Instructure for taking the growing pains in stride and trying to make things as comfortable for us as possible. Outside of that I learned so very much and met so many amazing people - Holy cow!! I just hope that I'm able to attend next year's event. Thank you.
