Does this mean that the Google Assignments LTI will -have the ability for instructors to create Collaborations with Google Slides and Sheets in addition to Google Docs -Show the Google Drive controls and menu when a Google Drive asset is embedded in a Canvas page from the RCE? C'mon, now. How is this not implemented yet? This whole "building the airplane while we are flying it" technique to feature development it getting exhausting. It is really hard to convince teachers to use New Quizzes when there is not feature parity with Classic Quizzes.

Hello, Some instructors have noticed delays in generating results for Reports, specifcially Item Analysis which can take up to 24 hours. In addition there seems to be a slight delay in the Quiz log generation on the moderation screen. Does anyone know if these delays will be improved as New Quizzes continues to develop? Thanks, Greg

Hello. We are thinking about enabling the Google Apps LTI to enable Google Sheets and Presentations to be shared as Collaborations and also to have the Google Apps icon avaiable in External tools in the RCE for easy Google App embedding and linking. However, it looks like the the integration also adds by default the Google Drive Menu pick to the Course Left Navigation menu by default. Does anyone know how to disable this by default by #modifying any App Placement options. https://www.screencast.com/t/SWGWZZJ7MIhs I know each person can manually hide it after the fact, but is there anyway to have it now show by default. I can anticipate instructors asking "can students see my google drive" over and over if they see something in their navigation called Google Drive. Thanks! Greg

More specificially, if you select Post Grades -->Graded, the then the Manually Post policy is still in effect. That is, after this point, if you enter a grade for anyone you did not previously grade, those scores will be hidden. https://www.screencast.com/t/FrreJnsfZqn6 However if you select Post Grades -->Everyone then ALL grades you enter from now on will be visible (opens the spigot). I think in this case, the policy should be updated to Automatic (Instead of staying on Manual), because, like you said, all new and edited grades are automatically posting for students to see. At least that is how I understand the functionality. Greg

When you: Set the grading Policy to Manual Enter Grades Select the Post Grades option to Everyone and then post your grades 2019-10-24_09-48-42.png Shouldn't the Grading Policy change to Automatic since any grades you enter after that will be visible by default. Right how the post policy stays at Manual. Am I missing something? Thanks! Greg

Hello! I am interested to see what people are doing to manage Canvas changes and notifying faculty of these changes. For instance, do you review the Canvas release notes, cull what you think is relevent to your campus and place these on a blog that is updated often? Do you have email newsletters? Do you have a general Canvas website? Thanks! Greg

I think the bottom line is: When an instructor opens the gradebook, they need to see imediately for each assignment: The current state of each existing student grade, published or unpublished ( or hidden/unhidden) What the state will be for any future students grade entered for that assignment; that is, "if i enter a grade for this assignment and this student, will the grade be visible to that student or not". Under the current configuration, this is not always the case. An instructor can go into the gradebook and see that the Total column is hidden, but there may be nothing to indicate which particular assignments are hidden. Man, I have racked my brain trying to come up with some scenario that would allow this. I'll have to leave this to someone smarter than me to come up with something ! -Greg

Hi Joe: Thanks for posting this. Your documentation is great! I did catch one possible typo however. On the Turnitin Review FAQ page, under the File And Upload section, the text for Two other points sub section may still refer to the Legacy Turnitin LTI as it still states students cannot submit multiple file uploads and students can submit via google drive or drop box See here 2018-07-13_08-35-05.png Thanks again for sharing!
