I have the same question. The API call should be. GET /api/v1/courses/:course_id/quizzes/:quiz_id/groups But it returns NULL. I found a quiz_group id in the DOM while in Quiz Edit Mode. Using the id I was able to get the quiz_group object using: GET /api/v1/courses/:course_id/quizzes/:quiz_id/groups/:id Is there a way to get quiz groups from a quiz?

What if an extra step was added to the Add APP process that let you modify the install. After the config.xml loads, check boxes would show the options. The user could uncheck Course Navigation before the final install.

After finding that I needed to change the assignment, I figured out how to Edit an Assignment using the API. The tool is using PHP, the ajax above was for a quick test. No one is using the tool yet. So, does anyone have php examples for retrieving an assignment from the api?

I have an LTI tool working on a secure server. Our External tool is a resource_selection tool. When an assignment is created and the tool is selected, the instructor picks the media to use for the assignment. ?media=## (see image above) If the instructor wants to change the media they can select another item from a user interface to set the media ## The problem: After the resource link has been set the first time, the launch_presentation_return_url changes to: /courses/374381/external_content/success/external_tool_redirect and no longer accepts an updated media=## Still looking for the Answer. I'm think I need to update the Assignment. external_tool_tag_attributes: {url: ... } But, receiving back a parser error when I try to GET the Assignment. https://canvas.instructure.com/doc/api/assignments.html#method.assignments_api.update

My first exposure to Canvas LTI Tools was through this course. While going through the assignments, I had the same thought. The course is a great starting point and should be expanded to teach new developers how to build their own lti tools. Canvas would see all kinds of new apps developed by its users.

Our custom lti external tool allows an instructor to choose the original redirect url with a visual interface. Is there a way to update the redirect url using another POST from within the tool? I don't want to do it manually.

I'm building an external tool to access our interactive media and send back a grade. The configuration xml file is set up to be a resource_selection with some custom_fields. When I Add the App it will not extend Canvas and fails if I don't provide a launch_url in the blti section. Is it possible our server needs to be added to the whitelist? My Role is Designer/TA. Does this app need to be added by an Admin?
