I've been using Canvas since they began. It's been a long road and lost of changes and improvements. I work at the University of Utah, College of Pharmacy in the Utah Poison Control Center and use Canvas in multiple ways for student, staff and faculty.

I agree and this has been an issue for many years. Our work around has been to add another acct for the other role. This solution is ridiculous and need to be remedied for a good user experience.
