In Speedgrader there is a confirmation notification when you wish to mute assignments. However, there is no confirmation when it comes to un-muting assignments. This means that any person marking an assignment can reveal comments and grades to students - whether accidentally or purposely. Therefore, the same type of notification is required as when an assignment is initially muted.
