Canvas has again marked an issue solved when the "solution" is, "sorry, cant do that!" This request was made more than 3 years ago. Shame on Canvas for not making this valuable update by now.

Comments from Instructure As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.

This issue has NOT been "solved". It is unacceptable that this problem came to you (Canvas) 3.5 years ago and it has still not been fixed. Canvas, please place an HTML entry option on new quizzes ASAP. Thank you.

This program is so hard to use!! After a semester, creating banks of 20 questions for EVERY question type I might need to use...they ALL disappeared!! With nothing in the commons to explain how to get my question banks back. What a waste of time this application has proven to be. Even if I do find them in the next minute, I'll never get back the hour I've already spent trying to find a solution!! Did you ever find the solution???

I apologize, I thought this was a place for users to share with Canvas our desire for you to improve the platform. Rather than a place for me to lose more precious time letting other users show me what I am already doing (for the most part). Knowing NOW that this is not the purpose of the suggestion section, I will show more respect for your time and not make any more suggestions.

This is not the solution to this problem. I figured this out on my own. If you are not interested in suggestions, we offer--because this program is a giant time suck--let me know. I'll stop making suggestions. This is 2020. Advanced efficiency standards using Internet platforms have been in place for years. The user experience for Canvas feels more like 2000. There is no excuse for expecting time strapped teachers to adjust to antiquated technology when better is the norm. Right now, my district is making me use Canvas during Covid-19. I have no intention of continuing after that if a number of improvements are not made.

Where do I begin with how bad the rubric grading is? On the phone app--rubric and submission are on separate tabs. On computer--rubric takes half the screen to see all choices. For each paper: click to open rubric > click on score > click to save. EVERY time. Are you kidding?

It's clear, looking at other's suggestions that you need to toggle EVERYTHING you can. there are TOO many clicks followed by pages reloading in the entire platform. Giant time waster!!
