I don't want to refer instructors to release notes to learn how to use a feature, since the release notes are packed with extraneous information. I like the clarifications to the course dates, but you know it still doesn't make clear that the "Restrict students from viewing this course" settings only take effect if the "Students can only participate in the course between these dates" checkbox is checked. If you leave that first option unchecked, then it doesn't matter what you select for the other two: they do nothing! This was very confusing to me when I first started using Canvas. I'm confused about how exactly the feature options work for the Anonymous Moderated Marking Audit Trail feature. At our institution, we have both Anonymous Grading and Moderated Grading set to "Allow" at the account level. When I also set "Anonymous Moderated Marking Audit Trail" to Allow at the account level, it doesn't seem to actually enable the feature, even if I enable Anonymous Grading and Moderated Grading in my course. But when I set the Audit Trail feature to "On", suddenly it appears in the course, even though Anonymous and Moderated Grading are still both set to "Allow" at the account level. And no matter what I do, I never see a feature option for the Audit Trail at the course level. So why is "Allow" even an option for the Audit Trail feature, when it doesn't seem to do anything?
