Not sure if this was mentioned, but this would be also be helpful for accreditation purposes. in place of doing screen printing. I also like for the fact of being able to help students that might have difficulty in computer usage due to physical aliments permanent or temporary. It would be much easy than recreating a test to help them.

I would believe the color or no color choice should be of the teachers perspective. Instead of just removing the color all together go with one of the choices that is used throughout the Microsoft Office suite and that is "No Color". This way it becomes a total choice package that meets all needs. Those that like the shading and those that like the image crisp/clean. Choice is good! Having no choice is bad!

This would be a great to turn on/off shuffling at the question level. I was just researching this issue for a similar submission for another faculty member. I was running across a similar issue when the answer was "all of the above" which is hard to to shuffle when it might not be at the bottom. I could shuffle answer "a-c" but would like "d" stay at the bottom. This way the answers would always appear different to the individual students.

@John_Lowe thanks for the discussion, I am going to have to expand my exploration beyond Canvas sections. As many of the courses in canvas use LTI integrations with the books vendors such as, Connect / ALEKS (McGraw-Hill), MyLabs (Pearson), and Cengage Brain to name a few. Do these applications allow students to see each other?

@thomas-rietz I am trying to better understand the submission idea. Are looking for the ability to have subtotals for assignment groups and the ability to have a best of graded assignments (such 6 out of 10, or 10 out of 12) where only the top grades count?

macaulayl I totally agree that if adding at the grade book area, the assignment must be created automatically even if it i a link back the assignment creation area. All pertinent areas must be completed for the assignment and not just a cursory covering. This can cause many problems and most users might not see the issues it can cause, but just like the idea.

I just created a page today on course clean-up and one of the first comments was there a unpublish/publish all pages. I did a search and found your suggestion. Hope this can get some steam. Good Luck.

Recently posted this in Canvas Feature Ideas and reviewing the How do I validate links in a course? Validating Links is only a small portion of keeping your Canvas course current and clean. My times we will import the content time after time, add new content, or make some other changes. After a while though, we find out the the import/export file is getting larger and larger. Content pages that you are no longer using and when you run the validate links feature your list is long. It is time to now clean-up your pages and remove the ones you no longer need. What do you do? Print out or write down all the pages you currently have set in modules. Next view all the pages and delete the ones not being used. NO, that is time consuming and there is a much easier process. I found a great easy three step fix for those. view all pages and unpublish all of them go back to my modules an publish all pages return to view all pages and review the unpublished items and determine whether to keep or delete This can help clean-up an old course and remove many of the invalid link errors that would appear in the canvas tool. Great ready for your fall start by cleaning out all the clutter.

@kmeeusen , I do use this and have included it in my faculty's training. The report does help to find the items that need fixed. On another note, after I used this I found their were several content pages with broken links that I no longer used in a course that were left overs from the past. I found a great easy three step fix for those. view all pages and unpublish all of them go back to my modules an publish all pages return to view all pages and review the unpublished items and determine whether to keep or delete This help clean up an old course and removed many of the invalid link errors that would appear in the canvas tool.

I will vote on these. It is difficult to get admin items voted on. I am at the halfway point and everything has stopped. It might just be the time of year. I am trying to get a report for the admins to list all the errors on an import. The JSON viewer is nice but clumsy. If you know of any admin pass along. Thanks
