This idea has been developed and deployed to Canvas
For more information, please read through the Canvas Release Notes (2021-11-20).
With the new Canvas for Elementary, manually creating courses is not simple. If a teacher creates a course, even if they are enrolled in a course in a C4E sub-account, that course will automatically go into the Manually Created sub-account and not get the C4E UI.
It would be very helpful to either give the Teacher a choice of sub-accounts in reference to their currently enrolled courses OR automatically assign it to their currently enrolled course sub-accounts. The least favorable would be to create a course role that allows Teachers to change the sub-account on their courses.

The Gresham-Barlow School District is looking to hire a Digital Curriculum Support Specialist to join our Information Systems team. A good portion of this position will be working as the main Canvas Admin as we move to a full year of Canvas use in our district.

Anyway to be able to customize the way information is sent to end-users is a good thing. Making the welcome or invite email align with how things work for your entity will help a lot of questions and issues. One example that comes to mind is changing the 'Get Started' button to 'Login with XXX' so the user knows that where they can go and what it will do.

Being able to change certain course only settings on a global or sub-account level would make a clean roll out and continued to use much more straight forward. One case we have is using grade passback to the SIS. If one grade is shown in Canvas and something different (weighted maybe) is shown in the SIS, confusion starts.

Providing a bit more global setting control would be great. We are currently wrestling with hiding overall grade in Canvas as we have sync back to our SIS. Having those 2 conflict if a teacher is pre weighting stuff would be troublesome for parents and students.
