I know the rule is "one feature per idea", but this feature is part of a global problem, which is that users expect to be able to save drafts (of peer review comments, Announcements, Messages) but can't. Use of the word "Save" suggests we are working on a draft, and we are surprised when the work submits or publishes instead. With external tools like Playposit and Hypothes.is, some assignments that are graded for participation have content that I would like students to be able to view later. Can we limit submission dates, but still make the content viewable? Should this go to Ideas instead?

I don't really understand why we have to work around the drop lowest rule, either. If we have an "ignore highest" rule offered, then clearly it's possible to identify a set number of highest scores. What's the difficulty in using that set of scores to calculate the grade?

I agree this is one of the best changes we could make to help students stay more accurately informed of their progress while allowing them flexibility in their graded work, such as a choice between graded assignments. Some students know how to use the What-If tool effectively, but others don't, and as a result, they don't necessarily make the best choices in completing their work. They need this. How do I vote for this? Right now I only see 2 ratings for this idea. That can't possibly be right, right?
