Hi there- it's a shame that the test student can't be assigned. I've just had a teacher trying to do exactly that - wanting to gain confidence in what his students could and couldn't access. Perhaps it could be added to the roadmap? Kind regards Kate

Blueprints are a powerful tool in Canvas. TasTAFE has 16 campuses in all corners of beautiful Tasmania and, therefore, we have geographically isolated teaching teams. Blueprints allow us to have consistency across teams providing a better student experience. Blueprints make updating and maintaining courses so much easier - we rely on them heavily. We are so impressed with Blueprints that we suffer the tedious (yawn), monotonous (double yawn) mind-numbing task of manually locking down all the pages, files, quizzes, assessments etc which is really time consuming. So the idea is to add an option that automatically locks down a Blueprint (basically, it's just flipping the current logic). So please vote for: An option that automatically locks all files/elements in the Blueprint with the ability to manually unlock individual elements as required.

If wondering if other institutions might be able to advise how they manage the accumulation of student accounts after years in Canvas. Currently, our provisioning creates a Canvas account for every student enrolment - even if the student won't be accessing Canvas. Apart from wanting to implement 'good housekeeping', we keep running into the issue of third-party apps wanting to charge us by the number of Canvas user accounts which is not a reasonable reflection of actual Canvas use. Institutionally, we are required to keep student accounts for five years to meet audit requirements. Any nuggets of wisdom appreciated. What are other institutions doing to manage user accounts and third party costs?

Totally agree with Mark and Ståle. It is already causing problems for our teachers who are experiencing difficulty when trying to find images in their large courses. Using the side bar just doesn't cut it when the course is large with hundreds of images - we need the thumbnails back ... please!!! Or the side bar having the option of displaying in folders. The other 'loss' with the new RCE embed image feature is that it always defaults back to all folders being closed. The old RCE used to 'recall' the last folder open. It might only be a click but it saved so much time and effort ... please restore this function as well.
