Born and raised in Queens, New York City. Resident of Cambridge, Massachusetts since 1978. Education at Queens College, MIT, and Boston University. Taught mathematics at Harvard, MIT, Wellesley College, Brandeis, and Boston University. Editor/publisher of the Cambridge Civic Journal.
