I used to use the same rubric to grade 10 different lab reports. If I noticed a small mistake on the rubric (for example, a misspelled word), or if I decided at the beginning of a new term to change the weighting of different categories on the rubric, then I needed to unlink 9 of the rubrics, make the change, and relink. This is tedious. Being able to edit the rubric directly would be very helpful.
I can imagine that there are worries about allowing instructors to change a rubric in the middle of the term, after they've already used the rubric to grade assignments. In that case, perhaps there could be a pop-up window (similar to the one that pops up when changing a quiz question) asking whether the instructor would like to re-grade with the new rubric.

Yes, please! Manually grading unanswered essay questions is an unnecessary time sink. I use quizzes to provide students with extra credit for reviewing class material. Some students choose to answer some but not all questions, which is fine, except it requires someone to go through and tediously zero out the questions they left blank. Instructor time is much better spent elsewhere.
Fill-in-the-blank questions are automatically graded if left blank, but they don't provide students with a large enough box to view their input.

When students upload multiple photographs from their phone of a single assignment, the photographs are not necessarily displayed in order in SpeedGrader. Grading these assignments is then a pain, because the TA/grader has to figure out the view order for each student individually, and each clicked image takes a few seconds to load. It would be so nice to be able to scroll up/down the compiled assignment in order, like you can in a PDF. We are also resorting to requiring students to use 3rd party apps, but it would be nice to have them just upload directly to Canvas.

Please allow us to download CSV export files. We are being forced to switch to New Quizzes this summer, and the apparent continuing lack of CSV export (which would be on par with the classic Quizzes tool, as promised) is going to result in my having to reinvent numerous tried-and-true Canvas solutions to compare and consult student answers. I also would appreciate having information about time to complete included in the export document.

Individually delaying each of my announcements after importing a course is a time waster. I fully support adding an obvious publish/unpublish button (and ideally defaulting to unpublished status). A related issue is that, when I import announcements from one of my old Canvas classes, the name of the original poster disappears, and the user photograph defaults to a generic "U" (for user, presumably), even when I remain the same user who posted the original announcement. As a result, I find myself needing to first copy and then delay each of the announcements. This wastes even more time. I don't see anyone else complaining about this behavior so perhaps it is unique to my institution....but still a big time sink. (If it matters, this occurs regardless of whether I choose to copy an existing Canvas course, or import a downloaded Canvas course export package.)

I also would like to see the time to complete (and/or the start time, to complement the submission time) added to the Student Analysis CSV file. As others have said, this information is helpful in identifying academic misconduct, etc. The Speed Grader provides the time to complete for each attempt, but it is time-consuming to flip through the Speed Grader and manually add this information to the downloaded CSV file. Please add it to the CSV..

In addition, it would be great if the instructor could set a late penalty that is calculated automatically. I often want students to be able to take and view a quiz or survey, even if late, but I do not want them to receive full credit for doing so. (Otherwise, there is no incentive to get their work in on time.)
