So hard to narrow to just three. Here's my attempt to cover stuff that wasn't covered as much in other top-3's that are, nonetheless, vital.
1) Must work seamlessly with common quiz support tools like Respondus quiz builder and proctoring software.
2) We really need non-graded surveys, with an anonymous option, like Classic has.
3) NQ should behave the same way with Speedgrader & the Gradebook as all the other assignment types in Canvas. (Grading flow, notifications, muting, etc.) The UX logic from one tool to the next should always be the same. (Unless you want to become the next Blackboard?)
P.S. Why does this have to be an LTI, anyway? Can't you build it in to Canvas natively, the way other tools are? Seems like a lot of these problems would go away if you weren't trying to develop this from the outside of the main system. Since when have quizzes not been core functions in education?

It would be very convenient for instructors to be able to see their total points possible for the majority of the class as it's meant to be, excluding special cases like dropped assignments and so on. Canvas should make this denominator easier to see at a glance. When designing a course, it is helpful to have several checkpoints where we can tell if we are proceeding according to plan, or if we've accidentally missed something. The grade total is one of those checkpoints. For example, if I see it is set to 900 possible points, and I meant for there to be 1,000 possible points, then I know I've missed something somewhere. I used the denominator feature a lot in Blackboard, and it was very helpful. It was a simple hover over the total column. I was dumbfounded when I saw that it doesn't exist in Canvas (without some difficult digging.)

Yes, this.
And to add to the chaos, when an ungrouped student replies to a discussion board, their post does not go to Speedgrader. So if the instructor is using Speedgrader to grade the discussions, they do not see that student's contribution. This causes problems EVERY SEMESTER.
Simply preventing ungrouped students from posting in a group discussion would help a lot. (Even better would be to also fix the Groups feature, but that's probably for another workspace.)

The ID is for the destination/landing point, and the href is for the link at the top. When students click the link at the top, it will jump them down to the destination point on the page.
HTML uses opening and closing tags. <a> is an opening tag indicating a link. </a> is the closing tag, indicating the end of the link.

@Chris_Hofer I tried both "criteria" and "criterion." No luck. 😞
The page says "longdesc" is optional and if left blank shouldn't affect anything. It's so annoying that Canvas automatically formatted it as a table on this forum; it is actually typed out as two tabs in a row.
In any case... I just tried deleting that column and pasting the results... still no luck! 😞

^Apparently Canvas automatically formats that as a table. Weird. I pasted it in as text.
(Also, apparently, no threaded replies anymore? Sigh)

I'm able to get the script to run. The Import Rubric button appears, the window opens, I can paste text into the box... but when I click "Create" nothing happens. No error messages, nothing. It just sits there laughing at me. What am I doing wrong?
Here's the text I'm using:

This is definitely a bug, not a feature request. Getting spammed with a bunch of notifications that don't apply to them will only make students not pay attention to their notifications anymore.

Looking good so far! It would be lovely if the image options menu allowed us to indicate whether the embedded image should have the text flow around it (and if so, will it float on the left or on the right... and also, the float tags should automatically come with a margin, so the text doesn't bump into the image.) This is something I see a lot of people needing to do. It's really basic in the HTML, but of course, most instructors don't know HTML.

100% agree. However, in the old gradebook, we have discovered that "Treat Ungraded as Zero" only affects the instructor's gradebook. The students still see a running total. This has caused some major problems at the end of the semester, as students have a different "total" on their page than what the instructors see. If they add TUA0 to New Gradebook, they should definitely make the setting apply to both students and instructors.

I voted, and what an amazingly detailed and beautiful case you made, LInda! This would be much less of an issue if Canvas would copy groups and group sets from course to course. If the groups were configured correctly to the assignments in the first iteration of the course, there wouldn't be a problem in future courses. As it is now, we have to recreate groups every semester, and re-attach them to assignments. Thus, I'd ask everyone to please also up-vote this idea: https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/1551-copy-group-settings

Adding to the list of people saying this needs to be available for group presentations as well, not just individual student presentations. And it needs to be able to set for a grade (both at the group and individual levels.)

Right now, if the same rubric is attached to more than one assignment, and you edit the rubric in one assignment, it only changes the criteria for THAT assignment's rubrics, and creates a COPY of the previous version of the rubric, which is attached to the other assignments. We should be given the option when changing a rubric, whether we want these changes to apply only to this assignment (and thus duplicate the original rubric), or to make the same changes to all assignments that use this rubric. We should also be able to update a rubric from the "Manage Rubrics" page, and have the updates apply to all assignments to which it's attached. This would save a lot of time, and ensure consistency across a course.

Yes to column headers. Yes to a grid, instead of the current headache-inducing alphabet soup that is variable column widths. It would be great to have percentage-based rubrics as well. Canvas is generally wonderful, but the Rubrics tool needs a lot of work.

@cmccann1 I discovered a workaround to trick the system! In Blackboard, edit your rubrics like so: Points-based. Not percentage or ranges. Reverse the order of the point values. So what is supposed to be zero points is set to the highest value, and vice-versa. The text will not match the point values. Then export your rubrics and import into Canvas. The text will be in the correct order in Canvas! All you have to do is edit the point values back to the correct order, which is much easier than copy-pasting a bunch of text all around. If you start with the farthest-right side, making it "0," Canvas will snap the rest of your points in that row around to the correct order. Pretty easy!

@James I installed GreaseMonkey and the Find Rubric Sorter script. Our institution's domain is "_".instructure.com. GM says the rubric sorter is enabled. It should just automatically ... work... now, right? It doesn't seem to be working. It's not sorting rubrics at all. I tried adding a rubric to both an assignment and a discussion board. What am I missing?

Here's how I did it: Export the rubric from Blackboard (we are on v. 9) as a .zip file In Canvas go to Settings. On the right side, click "Import Course Content." Under Content Type, choose Blackboard 6/7/8/9 export .zip file. Click Browse and choose the .zip file. Skip the section about Default Questions. This confused me, but it isn't required to select this menu. Next to Content select "All Content." Then Click "Import." Wait for it to process. Go to Outcomes > Manage Rubrics. It should be there!
