I agree with you, Melanie. It's frustrating to download and send the assignments to the students, so I've stopped using that Canvas feature to give feedback.
Thank you so much for your responses and to directing me to this idea.
It says at the top that voting opened and closed in 2015, but a feature like this would be incredibly helpful for when students write essays.
