I have written a tool to create Canvas formula question equations based on Google Sheets.  I found formula questions almost impossible to use except for simple equations, but I teach Mechanical Engine...

I tested it using the most common functions, but others can easily be added, the macro isn't protected just alter as needed.  Designed for formula style Canvas questions.

Google sheets changed their api, I had to re-write my solution, now it is embedded in an Excel spreadsheet, I can send you a copy of the file if you are still interested.
