I spent the first 19 years of my teaching career as a math teacher, teaching all levels from 4th up through college freshmen. At the end of my 19th year, my school created a new technology position and offered it to me. Since the fall of 2017, I’ve served as the school’s eLearning Specialist (i.e. Instructional Technologist) and now also serve as the Computer Science Department chair.

That is correct. We are brand-new to Canvas, so she's setting up her course right now. No students are enrolled at all yet.
We're actually using Chrome. I tried to recreate it, but I had no problem. She's the only teacher doing things so far.

I noticed that too this week. I ended up uninstalling the Teacher app and just using Safari. Everything worked perfectly there. Just as smooth as on a laptop or desktop.
We're actually staying in Dillon. My wife will be dropping me off at the conference center each day while she and our son go explore.
