Definitely a needed feature! Ideally, just an option on the three-dot menu that says "Duplicate Item Bank." It is a very common need to share an Item Bank with Edit access while maintaining the integrity of the original instance.

We'd also really like to see the option for limiting Act As to subaccounts! That would solve a lot of permissions management issues for us.

Just in case you haven't already found this workflow for migrating Classic Quiz Question Banks to New Quizzes Item Banks:

It looks like a lot of steps, but once you've done it a couple of times it's much quicker, especially for banks with a large number of questions.

I think it's probably possible using the API.
Has anyone already done this?

Allison: The message about "it will be changed in all assessments" is referring to other Quizzes in your Canvas course that may be pulling questions from that Question Bank. For example, if you had a Chapter 1 Quiz that pulled questions from a question bank named "Chapter 1 Questions," and the Midterm Exam was also using questions from that same bank, then changing a question in the bank could affect both items. Is this the link you're using: https://ivylearn.ivytech.edu/courses/675802 ? If so, then that's correct. If it's not working, does it give you any kind of error message? If you downloaded Respondus from Ivy Tech (Faculty Resource Center), it should be setup to connect to IvyLearn by default. Unfortunately, I'm on a Mac right now which can't run Respondus. I'll have access to a PC tomorrow so I'd be better able to help. -Brett

Hi Nancy. Do you mean you have a set of questions in Respondus and you want to publish them to a course in IvyLearn? You can find Respondus User Guides and Video Tutorials here: https://web.respondus.com/he/respondus/resources/ In the Quick Start Guide linked above, take a look at the "Using the Publish Wizard" and "The Publish Menu" sections. There's also a "Publish to Canvas" video tutorial (Publishing to Canvas - YouTube). Hi Everyone. It seems that there are multiple versions of this tool floating around. Is the "Canvas Update Tool - v9.1" the latest and greatest? I'm doing training on this for Educational Technology staff at my college soon and want to make sure I'm referring them to the best version of the tool. Thanks! -Brett
