I was just having this conversation with others at my institution. I was looking at using a Google Sheet like @James does with the bulk grade adjuster as I was hoping for a little more high-level ability, but this looks great. I am going to see if we can implement this and tweak it to our needs. Thank you so much for sharing!

I had to do some digging and I went through my cookies an cache and cleared out the information that screen-cast-o-matic was storing and that allowed for the upload to occur. Jesse

I noticed today that when you try and upload a video using the screen recorder I am now generating the issue of the upload failing. The error states that my network must be blocking the upload, but there are no restrictions on the network. This didn't happen until we updated to Catalina on our Mac computers. Any thoughts? Jesse

Here are NNU we do not allow teachers, program coordinators, or program directors to cross-list courses at all. I modified the permissions for every roll in our instance of Canvas. We took the permission away after it became ridiculously problematic. We now send out requests to our program directors and program coordinators 3 or 4 times a year to get the courses that they need to cross-list and we also set up parameters in which we will and will not cross-list courses. Also, if a course is listed in the course catalog as "combined with another course" or the course in question is the same as another course. For example EDUC**** and PSYC****. Also, when I cross-list courses that are not listed as combined in the course catalog, I disable the People tab/index and I send an email to the professor to explain why (FERPA) this tab should remain disabled in the course. This is the best procedure that I have found that helps us keep in line with FERPA. We have three admins here that can cross-list courses, but I am usually the one that does it. I also have a spreadsheet that I populate with all of the courses that are cross-listed throughout the year as this gives me a heads-up as we walk into a new semester. The people that send me requests for cross-listing know that they need to tell me what the parent course is and what the child or children courses are. For the most part, I have this down to a science now and things roll pretty quickly. Jesse

Erin, There isn't a link connected for the "Be The Hero" text. I tried searching the Commons for the course and I wasn't able to find it. I will try to dig a little deeper and see if I can find it. Jesse

@garrett_william , I would love the template. I love the clean look on the cards. I am definitely a novice when it comes to css and js and I am trying to learn more and more. Thank you for your help. Jesse

@garrett_william , I love the look of your dashboard. How did you do it? Is the logo in the corner part of the CSS that you created? Would you mind sharing as I am sure there are a number of people who would love to have something like this running in their production environment? Jesse

@christopher_phi , Would it run similar to @James 's Google Sheet that allows for changing due dates on one page? I could see something similar where a user generates a token which is applied to the Google Sheet and then all of the files are loaded into the spreadsheet. From there all the relevant information could be populated and an option (1, 0) be given to determine if the file should be deleted or not. That information could then be pushed back to Canvas and the subsequent files could be deleted. It would not be nearly as pretty as the screenshots that you have provided, but it may be a start. Just a thought. On any front, I am definitely interested and I am looking forward to your updates. Jesse

@venitk , My understanding (which could be wrong) is that the default quality level stays with the embedded YouTube video. When you expand or go to full screen you are still viewing the same quality video but at a larger size. If you switch to HTML view on the RCE when you embed the YouTube video, you should be able to change out the quality level fairly easily. I will also do some additional digging to see if there is something I am missing. Jesse

@venitk , I found this resource before we started using Arc (which is absolutely amazing). I think this will help you as well. See: https://developers.google.com/youtube/js_api_reference#Playback_quality Or iframe: https://developers.google.com/youtube/iframe_api_reference#Playback_quality Quality level small : Player height is 240px, and player dimensions are at least 320px by 240px for 4:3 aspect ratio. Quality level medium : Player height is 360px, and player dimensions are 640px by 360px (for 16:9 aspect ratio) or 480px by 360px (for 4:3 aspect ratio). Quality level large : Player height is 480px, and player dimensions are 853px by 480px (for 16:9 aspect ratio) or 640px by 480px (for 4:3 aspect ratio). Quality level hd720 : Player height is 720px, and player dimensions are 1280px by 720px (for 16:9 aspect ratio) or 960px by 720px (for 4:3 aspect ratio). Quality level hd1080 : Player height is 1080px, and player dimensions are 1920px by 1080px (for 16:9 aspect ratio) or 1440px by 1080px (for 4:3 aspect ratio). Quality level highres : Player height is greater than 1080px, which means that the player's aspect ratio is greater than 1920px by 1080px. Quality level default : YouTube selects the appropriate playback quality. This setting effectively reverts the quality level to the default state and nullifies any previous efforts to set playback quality using the cueVideoById, loadVideoById or setPlaybackQuality functions. Robin, I don't believe that there is a way to find all of the ungraded assignments unless they have a tag attached to them like "missing" or "late". At that point, you could filter the assignments in the grade book and then visually look for the corresponding color that may have an ungraded assignment. You can also treat all ungraded at zero, but that may not accomplish what you are wanting either. Jesse

Matthew, I think I am tracking with you. Usually, we have an evaluator look at one aspect at a time. This allows for better clarity and also helps us keep evaluators in check. FERPA is always a big concern and we try to make sure that we don't do anything to even skirt that line. Essentially, that is what prompted us to create evaluator accounts and have deep discussions about privacy and necessary information. I am happy to talk more with you if you want. Jesse
