I just had an instructor ask me how students can upload a Studio video as a question response. I quickly realized I do not have a good answer to this other than for the student to share a URL to the video. Am I missing something, is there not an option to answer a New Quizzes question with a Studio video upload?

Looking for some feedback on the Teams Meetings LTI. We recently circled back to it after updates were made that allow channel meetings to be scheduled/show on the Canvas side of things. We noticed that channel meetings created in Canvas show up in both Canvas and Teams while channel meetings scheduled in the Teams app only show up in the Teams app. Is this how it is for now or has anyone found a work-around? I hesitate to share the LTI with Instructors at this time due to potential confusion. Our users are used to creating their channel meetings in the Teams app and will likely still do this by habit...and expect to see these meetings show in the Canvas Teams Meetings LTI...and it appears they will not. See image below.

We use the Microsoft Sync Integration like crazy! It has been great to use so that users do not have to manually create Teams and keep their rosters updates. We also added the OneDrive LTI, Teams Classes and Teams Meetings which I will give some feedback on below. OneDrive: We added it but then disabled it. Reason being is while it looks better than the Office 365 integration, it does not offer a search capability (that we're aware of) and that is huge when it comes to large file libraries and users trying to find a specific file. Once that feature becomes available we will definitely swap. If it is available we would love to know where to find it! Teams Meetings: The recent updates to this are nice in that it allows Channel meetings to be created and displayed on the Canvas side of things! We love that students can access meetings, chats, etc right from Canvas. One thing I noticed is the meetings only show up in Canvas if they are created on the Canvas side of things. In this case they show in both Canvas and in the Teams Channel. If the channel meeting is created in Teams it doesn't seem to sync over to Canvas. Any ideas here? See image at the bottom. Teams Classes: We haven't really used this yet but will encourage users to put this to use as an simple way for users to access their Teams classes and view Team notifications!

As a Canvas Admin, one of the items that I get requested a few times each term is if I can look up whether a Student "did this" or "didn't do that". I would love to eliminate this from my duties, but to do that, instructors would need to be able to view more specifics in the student page views area of their course (including the ability to download the csv). Additionally, on the admin side of the page views, it would be great if we could select a date range for views/csv instead of the current recent option or single date view.

I see that when a Student adds their file they see a preview much like instructors see in Speedgrader. Will this preview display annotated feedback when the Instructor adds it or will Students still need to navigate via the gradebook to find that feedback?

A relatively new feature that helps bridge this gap is the 'Copy to' Feature. This makes it simple to share an announcement (and other course items to additional courses).

We have some Instructors that need to pull student grades from a point in time from the past. For example, they've entered new grades over the last month and a half but would like to see students' overall grade from March 13. Is there a way to make this happen?

Doing a 'fake' recording, ending it and then 'Back to Recordings' is the solution...at this point. But hey, at least there's a solution, right?

I second this! The use of Teams for course group work was just starting to take hold before the pandemic and now with campus closed the use has exploded. Instructors are using private groups in most cases. We were once told from a microsoft engineer that Teams would never live in Canvas, it would be the exact opposite with Canvas living in Teams. One way or another, it would be great!

I was recently "dinged" by our communications department for sharing a video that didn't include Audio Descriptions. The video was a subtitle-only instructional video (no narration) for signing up for Multifactor Authentication at our institution. I had thought I was pretty on top of accessibility standards...but obviously not. Questions: Are Audio Descriptions an accessiblity requirement? What programs are you using? Is there a solution for Canvas Studio?

At this time last year, there was a lot more chatter about the dates/locations for InstructureCon19. Now, I know that we knew that Keystone had reached its capacity and the contract was up....or at least that's what I was hearing. Has anyone heard if Long Beach is happening again? Was there a multiyear contract signed? I've heard nothing. Really enjoyed my time in Long Beach but it was much easier to cover and explore the area and check everything off the list than Keystone. Would love a scenery update for next year! InstructureCon 2020 Help Others by Answering Questions!
