I can't grade quizzes, the box is grayed out. Hi, My students have done a quiz and I want to mark if they passed or not through speedgrader. But that field is grayed out. The only students who got marked as passed were the ones who got 100%.... |

Problem statement:
Students rarely notice when they get an "incomplete" assignment with feedback on what to change. Currently there isn't much difference between missing and incomplete.
Proposed solution:
To have another message, see picture, that tells "changes needed", instead of "missing".

More important is to be able to show the students a summary of their grades. Maybe a button to "publish" or "hide" this table.

It's important for students to know their current status on the course. Do they have anything they need to improve upon, i.e. any Outcome they have to get a better grade in? If they can access their own Learning Mastery list it saves time for us teachers when it's time for the half term evaluations, development talks etc. since it's already there.
Arrow 5 shows where you could add a way to hide/show the list for the students.

Background: The table Learning Mastery (under Grades) is a good tool to see the students' current status in a course. In my country the different course criteria are the deciding factors for the final grade. Thus it is also important to have more control over the Outcomes in Canvas, if I as a teacher should be able to use this tool.
Suggestion: I suggest this box that should appear when you select an outcome grade (see picture). We need a way to have better view over the Learning Mastery. Currently you can only see the summary/average of an outcome, but you should be able to see the full breakdown of all the assignments where that specific Outcome got graded (arrow 1). In that way you can more easily see if the calculated average is a correct indication of a students skills or if it is wrong, because you as a teacher knows which assignments are more important for the grade.

I completely agree the colours need updating. Currently 3 points (or 50%) is set as passed, not sure if that is set within the organisation, but that should make it possible to have a yellow colour for almost passed. (2p)

Background: The table Learning Mastery (under Grades) is a good tool to see the students' current status in a course. By converting the course criteria into different Outcomes (type of criterion) in Canvas, you can test the same Outcome several times and see the average.
In my country the different course criteria are the deciding factors for the final grade. Thus it is also important to have more control over them in Canvas, if I as a teacher should be able to use this tool.
Suggestions:
1. Clicking on an outcome in the table should give a breakdown on all the different grades that students have received on that specific outcome in every assignment (that uses that outcome).
2. Manually grade an outcome to overrule the average result. In case the average doesn't correctly match the student's actual skill or knowledge.
3. Individual colouring Colours might currently depend on the organisation's own colour settings.
4. Permanently re-arrange the columns. You can re-arrange the columns but as soon as you go to next side they flip back.
5. Visibility to the pupils so they can also see a summary of their progress. To reduce work for us teachers it would be good if they could access this automatically made summary.
6. Easily transfer Outcomes to next years course.

Hi,
My students have done a quiz and I want to mark if they passed or not through speedgrader. But that field is grayed out.
The only students who got marked as passed were the ones who got 100%. There is no option to set the limit lower than 100%. Therefore they all keep appearing on my todolist.
