I'm afraid I'm not going to be very helpful here, because I don't have experience with PowerSchool. My advice would be to contact support directly for both PS and Canvas. If there's an integration, there must be a way to handle situations like this. (And of course, definitely back up the student work that is already submitted, just in case.) Good luck. Hi. How long has this been happening? Have you successfully published announcements in the past, and this is a new problem? Does it work if you use a different device? If so, you can try clearing your cache. That's always my first go-to when Canvas suddenly goes wonky for no reason. There are instructions here: Clear Cache on Mac, and Clear Cache on PC. Good luck!

Hi. I'm not sure what you mean by "conclude student." Do you mean to revoke student access to your course and materials? If so, you can do this in Settings. You can specify an End Date, and then check the box for "Restrict students from viewing course after term end date." I wish I could give you a definitive answer, but it depends on the policies at your institution. At my current school, there's a buffer of a few years before students lose all access to previous courses. However, instructors can also choose to revoke student access at the end of each semester, and some do. To be safe, I would recommend downloading, saving, or otherwise backing up anything you don't want to lose, like your own work, interesting articles, useful resources, etc. (Edit to add: as @SusenNiemeyer stated below, please check with your instructor before downloading their materials.)

Hi. It might depend on your institution. At my school, it's not possible. No one can access our Canvas courses without an institutional email address - no exceptions. If that's the case for you too, here are some possibilities: Ask your institution to create an account(s) for the individual(s) Put the content in a FFT Canvas course Use another platform, like Google Classroom It just depends on what you need (type & duration of access, number of people, etc.). Hi. A little more information may be helpful. Are you an instructor or admin? Are you trying to create a new blueprint course, or access one that already exists? Is this something you used to have access to, that suddenly stopped? Blueprint course associations have to go through the admins. If you're an instructor, contact your institution's Canvas admins and ask them about it.

Hi. I think the check button is meant to assign full credit, and the X button next to it gives 0 points. After you adjust the score for each question, scroll all the way to the bottom and click "Update." That should keep the partial scores you mean to give.

Hi. In your screenshot, it looks like there's a blue button in the upper right that reads "Mit Aufgabe Beginnen." My translator app converts that to "Start with Assignment" or "Begin Task." What happens when you click that button? Does it take you into the assignment?

Thank you. Yes, Readspeaker is a text-to-speech provider that partners with Canvas. My institution currently isn't using it, because of hesitancy over certain features, like those I mentioned above. Instructors would feel better if they were able to control which specific Readspeaker features were enabled in their individual courses. For example, one teacher could enable all functions, while another could opt to disable the dictionary.
Since I first posted this question, I have learned from Readspeaker reps that this kind of individualized control is possible, but Canvas has been uninterested in implementing it at the present time.

I showed a colleague how to migrate a Classic Quiz into New Quizzes. I showed her once in my course, and once in hers. Everything seemed fine. A few hours later, I received two email notifications that "Course Export Finished," one for my course, and one for hers.
I have migrated quizzes before, and never gotten these notifications. Did I do something wrong this time?

I've done a similar arrangement by adding a table, positioning text and images in the different cells, and then making the borders invisible. Maybe that would work for you?

You can do this in a couple of ways.
1. In your module's edit menu, add a requirement that students must move through the content in sequential order. Then find the assignment in the drop-down list, and require "submit the item." Make sure the answer file comes afterward, and they won't be able to see it until they submit the assignment. (Note that these settings affect the whole module, so they won't be able to see anything else until they submit the assignment. So if your student with the extension needs to access other content before completing the assignment, you will have to create separate modules.)
2. Put the answer files in a separate module from the assignment, and then restrict access to it by requiring students to finish the previous module as a prerequisite. These options can also be set in each module's edit menu.

You can restore a deleted quiz, and republish it to recover the student grades.
