C'mon, Instructure! This has been an ongoing complaint for 7 years!
Assigning due dates and times for multiple sections could not be much more cumbersome and frustrating if you tried. Even though our blocks meet at the same time each day, I have to manually enter those times for six sections for every assignment. (And 11:59p is NOT an appropriate time for high school students to be completing homework.)
PLEASE give us the option of setting default due times for each section of a course.

YES, Yes, yes! A thousand times yes! This is so incredibly frustrating. Clearly the people who design the interface haven't actually used it in a real-world situation. There is absolutely zero benefit to all the extra space in each column.

I know that I can click on a student name in gradebook to see their total number of missing or late assignments, but that means having to individually click each name or count red/blue boxes across each row. It would be great to have two columns in the spreadsheet that show the current number of missing or late assignments.

Agreed!!! Photos are often hard to view and clicking through multiple pages is very slow. I often require students to scan their work in another app and then submit, but that additional step really complicates the process and creates many problems. When it happens at the end of class as they are eager to leave, they often say they'll do it later and then forget. PLEASE, Canvas, add a "Scan to Submit" feature to the app.

On the moderate page, there is a pull-down menu. I've included a screenshot below. At least this way I can see in one window who is currently taking the test, but I can't see which kids in my class haven't started it yet or which ones have already finished which is frustrating. I also can't see how much time is remaining for each student. Both of those are things that were possible with Classic Quizzes.

I agree! I can filter by "In progress" which helps, but it still doesn't let me see which kids in a section haven't yet started.
