Problem statement: Currently, there is no way for students or teachers to view their mastery gradebook within the Canvas app. Teachers can somewhat get around this by providing a direct link to the mastery gradebook on their course homepage, but this redirects to a web browser when accessed from the app. This is a problem as some courses are opting to evaluate exclusively using mastery paths. For students in these courses, it is impossible to view their 'grades' in the app. As many schools move towards mastery paths and standards-based grading it would be useful for students to have this direct view of their overall course proficiency levels within the app, rather than having to redirect to a web browser or check individual assignments. Proposed solution: A proposed solution would be to add a mastery gradebook tab to the 'Grades' page within the canvas app. This would mirror the functionality of Canvas on desktop, and provide students and teachers a quick view of their course proficiency levels, and outcome alignments. School Canvas Admin Here: Currently you can add brief descriptions to each rating (column item) in a standard rubric, but cannot when using mastery outcomes. While you can add text to the outcome description, it would be great to add rating descriptions so that students can have a greater understanding of what each mastery level entails.  ... View more
