We don't allow teacher to create and manage sections because they could potentially cause problems with courses we script to cross list. But for K12, the ability to assign by teacher-created sections is essential to differentiation. These are not group assignments.

For teachers to differentiate instruction, allowing them to create and edit groups (e.g., reading or math groups) would be helpful. Unfortunately, in the current setup, that also means they could edit cross-listed courses.

An integrated whiteboard would be an excellent option in discussions. Currently, a drawback with both Jamboard and Microsoft Whiteboard is there's no way to identify who contributes what to a whiteboard. Microsoft is adding live cursor so you can see who is contributing in real time, but that identifier only lasts for a moment. Then you can't see who posted it. If Canvas does consider adding an integrated whiteboard, a teacher setting to allow or disallow anonymous posts would be ideal. It would really be useful to have the display name appear with the whiteboard contribution just as it does in Canvas discussions or even chat.

This is brilliant. We don't make the Canvas grade book visible to parents because we use a differnet Student Information System grade book and having two would be confusing. Having parents access the student app with their parent login works perfectly though. It allows them to see their child's work, and that's been a tough nut to crack at the elementary level! Thanks Deborah!

I know with the older quizzes, Speedgrader allowed the option of grading one question at a time. I don't see that checkbox option in Speedgrader for New Quizzes. This would be helpful for questions that aren't auto-scored. speedgrader‌#quizze.next
