We are using the Growing WIth Canvas course for training with new faculty members as well as a refresher resource for veteran teachers. I am curious if there will be an update with the new Google Assignments LTI tool as well as New Quizzes? I can go in and update but wanted to make sure I had not missed any communication or updates about these features. Thank you.

I have a couple of questions I hope to get some clarity on concerning Google and the parent observer accounts. The first question is do parent observer accounts take on the same permissions as the student they are observing? I know we can set the permissions for observer on the Canvas admin side but specifically concerning Google Docs what do these permissions look like. Second question, if a parent tries to view a Google Doc assignment in Canvas and it asks them to authorize, should they be able to see the document (shared only with members within the organization) by authorizing a personal gmail account? In Google admin console the setting for accounts outside the domain are turned off. So really they are the same question just trying to understand how Google and Canvas are communicating.

Yes, thank you! I like the idea of putting the teachers in groups by department in a Canvas practice course. I would love to know some of the assignments you have given them to try and the other information you have put in the course.

Thank you for your input. We only have a few teachers using Canvas with grading and SIS, but I do not want to cause them any issues, however, they are the ones requesting to see grading periods.

I have a new student who moved in from another school district. How can I let her start in this module when prerequisites have been set that say she needs to complete Module 1 and 2 before Module 3 will be opened up? Thanks for your help.
