Problem statement:
I know that in New Quizzes, we can apply a single student's accommodations (extra time or attempts) to all of their Canvas Quizzes; however, some teachers have *many* students in a single class who have the same accommodation (e.g., time-and-a-half), and it can get tedious and repetitive to set the same accommodation for each student individually.
Proposed solution:
It would be more efficient / convenient to be able to select *multiple* students at the same time for which to set the same accommodation(s). I would imagine this could be accomplished via a column of tick boxes to the left of student names, where you can select multiple students, then click the pencil icon or moderate button to set the same accommodation(s) for all of the selected students.

Problem statement:
Just as teachers are able to view Quiz statistics, it would be nice to be able to generate Assignment Statistics, especially for text-based assignment submissions. Specifically, I have a teacher wanting to view and export word count data for all essays submitted to one assignment. She would like to be able to view/export a table of assignment statistics showing each student's name and their essay's word count.
Proposed solution:
On the Assignment page, have a button for Assignment Statistics (similar to the Quiz Statistics button available on a Quiz's page). To make the feature worthwhile, submission time and score could be included in the report. . . but the main concern is to make accessible to instructors a table containing assignment data that isn't currently accessible in one place (such as word count).

This has recently come up for my school as most people had not transitioned to the new grade book until now. . . It's very tedious to manually remove the "missing" label from each student in the grade book if the student's assignment was submitted on paper or looked at in class. It would be nice if the label were automatically removed when a non-zero score is entered!

I haven't noticed an improvement, either, but I didn't say anything because I honestly didn't figure it would do any good since Canvas believes the issue to be resolved. When viewing a rubric, it still has to take up 2/3 of my screen in order for me to see the entire thing, making the submitted document impossibly small. If this is the "original" rubric size (as described in the Canvas Release Notes), then it's still too large. Prior to the start of this issue, the column widths within the rubric would narrow to LESS than original size so that I could see the entire rubric and the submitted document easily, with the rubric taking up no more than half of the screen. The rubric AFTER grading allows this to happen, so I'm not sure why we can't have the same parameters for the rubric WHILE grading.

Yes, the new way in which the pre-graded rubric is displayed makes it pretty well impossible to view the submitted assignment alongside the rubric for easy grading. I did notice that after grading/saving the rubric, the text within it does wrap, which is what it used to do while grading! If the text wrapping can be maintained for the graded/saved rubric display, why can it not be maintained for the pre-graded rubric display? I used to be able to see an entire rubric within half of my screen while grading, but now the rubric window has to be expanded to more than 2/3 of the screen for me to view a similar rubric.

I'm a technology integration coach as well as an AP teacher, and this feature is much needed! Just today, one of my teachers experienced the disappointment of having made comments on multiple submissions of each and every student, only to find out that the students can't see his feedback on their initial submissions. Had I known of this limitation, I would've warned him! Regardless, this thread is nearly three years old, and still no news?
