My question is not really about how to be sure students don't see it, rather can  I set a default so that my assignments default to the turnitin doing the check. Does that help clarify my question...

I am not sure which feature you are suggesting we turn on or off?  Also, I cannot even see the students prior submissions, nor my comments on them.

I have been unable to stop student notifications for minor changes I make to assignments, modules etc. How do I stop the notifications? I am sure that I have not checked the box to notify students.
