I have used the Wiris Chem editor in my Canvas courses to enter equations, polyatomic ions, etc. The app is available in the app list in course settings. I haven’t received any reports from students about negative/minus signs not appearing.

I have had several students experience this issue. The exam is set to allow students to view the answers to the assessment after the testing period has closed. The students have tried logging out of Canvas, closing the LDB window and then logging in again. Same issue. I can go into the LDB dashboard and remove the requirement for the specific quiz, but that doesn't solve the issue.

It would also be helpful if the comments for a graded assignment/quiz appeared when hovering over the score, without having to click and open the sidebar.

When I logged into EDPuzzle this morning, a prompt appeared and asked what LMS I use, confirmed my email address, and said some exciting news will be coming soon. I think that they might announce an LTI integration Canvas and/or other popular LMS's. This is just speculation, but the fact they asked what LMS I use is a little telling in my book.

I did receive the following information via email in March (3/9/17). Since it's been more than six months, I don't know if it is all still accurate. The unique student price of $2.00/yr. is for unlimited student use across all their instructors. Instructors pay nothing for unlimited use of CATME. Data storage indefinitely is free. New CATME features like written peer-to-peer comments are available, no charge. We will bill at your choice; departments, schools, colleges, universities or instructors.

I have used PeerGrade and liked many of its functionalities. But, one thing that they don't have available is peer review of individual group members. In a support chat, they indicated that the idea is on their development radar, but there is no estimated date of implementation. A colleague of mine introduced me to CATME as a tool that can be used to assemble teams and provide a platform for self and peer evaluation of group members. CATME Information Website CATME is "currently" free, however, they have been trying to convert over to a paid model based on the number of unique logins for a given institution. The embedded video below still states that the service is free for academia. The platform allows you to create teams first be having students complete on online survey that asks them questions regarding availability, degree of dedication to the course, leadership styles, etc. You can edit the survey to add or delete questions depending on what types of information you would need to know when building a group.

CATME Video Introduction

I'm sure that you have already looked at the student help guide for groups, but in case you haven't, it might help. The Student Groups video tutorial also is very handy. You could make an announcement that explains the need for your students to sign-up for a group and put a direct link to the user groups sign-up page for the course in the announcement. This would help students to know "where to go" in your course to sign-up for the group activities. I usually make any course registration/orientation requirements as assignments to be completed with a grading rubric attached. For instance, I teach chemistry, and my students are required to watch a safety film, complete safety training, sign a safety contract, and take a safety quiz. Each of these items is then listed as part of an assignment in my Orientation assignment group (0% weight). As the students finish the portions of the assignment (i.e. watch the film, complete the quiz, etc.), I update the students' scores. They know that when they complete the assignment, then all the requirements have been met. You can also use the Message Students feature to remind students that they haven't completed all of the requirements. Your students would know that they need to sign up for a group from what you put in the instructions of the assignment, and you can put the link to the groups sign-up page in the instructions as well. I find that the assignments work well to keep the students on track, since they are listed in the course calendar with the associated due dates. The number of reminders that I have to send out is usually between 2-5 for all of my sections combined, which is about 75-100 students.

No, I was referring to selective release. Students can be given different due dates and availability dates on a case by case basis. So, does this spreadsheet show the multiple due dates and availability dates?

How does the export/import handle multiple due dates for quizzes and assignments? I have a few assignments with various due dates for students, usually within 1-2 days of the primary due date and time. Does the spreadsheet export bring all of the dates, or just the primary?
