The solution does not work for Events.
I have this problem every time I update a course.
I have seen it posted many times and the Canvas employees answering do not seem to understand the real question...
This bug is a HUGE pain.
I have seen it addressed several times by people who do not actually understand the problem.
I really wish Canvas would fix this.
Nobody actually wants old events imported.
