I also want to be able to use these kinds of hierarchical structures in my modules, and have the ability for them to collapse and expand like the modules do. Is there a place to vote on this idea?

A workaround for searching videos is to click on View for your media, then click on Details, then click on Edit Details and then enter Tags for each file. I find course number/name, chapter or module, and other important identifying features are the most useful. Since I do music examples, my media number in the hundreds. The absence of a Hierarchical File System (HFS) in our age represents very poor planning.

We just migrated to Canvas, and as part of embedding media (audio) into SoftChalk as a music professor, I discovered that the public link and embed code options for Arc media solved a lot of the issues I was having; however, the first thing I thought about was organizing my media by folders, much in the way that the Canvas files system works. If this is the FIRST thought I had about implementing Arc media, it really needs to be implemented. I will tag, but it is a much clumsier system than a hierarchical folder structure.
