I am currently a student at VTSU Johnson campus and I am 40 years old, back in college for the third time. The first two times, I wasn't very focused on schoolwork (did a lot of drinking though, too much as it turns out), but after a pretty serious health scare/wake-up call in 2021, I got some much-needed help and began paying off debt while I worked on living a healthier lifestyle. I went back to school in the fall of 2023, and I am loving it. I am an Inclusive Adolescent Education major with a concentration in History, I have pulled off a 4.0 GPA every semester I have been back so far, and am hoping to graduate with my bachelor's degree, teaching license, and special education endorsement at the end of the spring semester in 2027. I love to read, write, play guitar, write/record my own music, snowboard, hike, play disc golf, and am passionate about helping others who are in recovery from substance use.
