Hi @PauliinaPunnone
Are you certain the student is not inactive?
What do you mean by "test student"? The student view of the course, which is called "test student" in the gradebook is not an actual student so I will not have analytics available for it. That error would show if you try to access the new analytics for the test student.
If the student is an actual student enrollment in the course that you call "test student" they should have Analytics populate after 24 hours they have been in the course.
If they were set to inactive or concluded at some point and changed back to active, the teacher would need to wait 24 hours before their analytic is pulled.
I hope this answers your questions. Thank you.

Hi @lrieser
I was able to test this on my end and leaving comments on the questions does not trigger a notification for the students. they would need to access their attempt on the quiz to be able to view the comment.

Hi @MaryNunn
Unfortunately, we don't have a native setting that would lock the navigation links. You can try achieving that by using Custom CSS on the theme. Otherwise, the navigation links are always editable in the course level.

Hi @DonaldMASSEY
Depending on which quiz engine you are using it will be different steps.
I am attaching the guide on how to create file upload questions for both types of quizzes.
How do I create a File Upload quiz question?
How do I create a File Upload question in New Quizzes?
Make sure you follow the steps in the guide, and when students take the quiz, they will be able to do the file upload.

Hi @Patrick_Volz
Canvas doesn't have a specific report for that. You would need to access the courses to see if they are using quizzes or not. We don't have a report for quiz usage.
Sometimes the Customer Success Managers can assist with generating custom reports like this. If you haven't you could reach out to them asking about this.

Hi @ConnieHarvey
Canvas doesn't have an option where you can specify to only drop the lowest score if they get over a certain percentage on the average. If you select to drop the lowest score of a group of assignments, it will do it for all kids.
You can go to the gradebook and manually change the grade for the assignments you want to drop for the students from the grade they have to "EX" ( excused). You would need to do this for each student you want to drop it.
That will mark that assignment Excused for that student and it won't calculate into their total.

Hi @DFarrarUTH
Unfortunately, we don't have a notification setting specific for course completion or module completion. You can go to your notification settings and choose from the available options what you want to be notified about.
Here is a pdf that explains each notification option we have available.

Hi @AudraTravelbee
Unfortunately, that is not an option on Canvas.
The teacher can set up prerequisites and requirements for the modules.
How do I add prerequisites to a module?
How do I add requirements to a module?
Once those are set, the students will need to complete the requirements needed to move modules. The teacher would need to manually remove the requirements on the specific date they want it to release for all students. Canvas doesn't have the option to do that automatically.
I would recommend sharing an idea to be voted for this.

Hi @CodeFellowsDev
Canvas does not support multiple roles for the same user in the same course. To have the user keep the permissions of a certain role in the course, you need to remove all other enrollments with different roles of that user from that course (even completed enrollments). They can only have one role, otherwise, Canvas won't know which permissions to grant them.

Hi @KathyBaldwin2
Unfortunately, if the courses don't have SIS ids you don't have the option to bulk delete them. You would need to add SIS ids to the courses to be able to bulk delete them.
With no SIS ids, you would need to manually delete them individually.

Hi @BStutzman
Unfortunately, Canvas doesn't have the option to hide just one student's totals. The only way around that would be to have all that student's grades hidden. If they can't see any grades, the totals won't be calculated for them.
The option to hide totals would affect all the students.
I would recommend sharing an idea to be voted for.

Hi @JensRohleder
From the screenshots you sent, it seems your appointments were created correctly.
It is normal for them to show greyed out. they only show a solid color after students sign up to them.
You can see it in this guide:
How do I add a Scheduler appointment group in a course calendar?
"Time slots that have been reserved by students will show as a solid color."
Since the appointments have been set up correctly, make sure that students go to their calendar, and then select "find appointments" on the right to be able to find the appointments.
If they don't select that, they won't see the slots.
Here is a guide with the steps they need to follow to sign up
How do I sign up for a Scheduler appointment in the Calendar?
Thank you.

Hi @leanna_chow
You can change the gradebook settings at any point. The only problem would be if the late posting policy grade the students, there isn't a way to undo the process. You would need to change the policy for future assignments and manually fix the grades.
The correct process would be the following:
First, do the import.
During the import, either select to remove dates or adjust events and due dates.
Once the import is done. Go into your gradebook and set up all the policies for your preference. The missing submission policy, and the grade posting policy.
Once those are set up correctly, go to the assignments page and set up the dates as they need to be.
As far as the course for the teacher that has done it already, they can go to the gradebook and alter the policies to their preferences. But they need to manually fix the grades.
How do I apply a Missing Submission policy in the Gradebook?

Hi @Esme_vang
Unfortunately, the option to edit discussion replies is not available on the app. If allowed by the teacher, you can edit the response through the browser.
You can check this guide on how to do that from the browser.

Hi @TerriWiley
The attendance tool automatically populates the active students you have in your class. If you go "people" you should see the list of students there. You either have no students in this class or you might have multiple sections and a section with no student.
In this case, make sure on the attendance page, you have the correct section selected to display. If you have a section with no students, no students would show up.
Also, keep in mind the students need to have an active role in the course. If they are inactive or pending they won't show.
Here is a guide about Attendance.

Hi @KATIEJANSEN
If you don't see the "sync" option, it means you haven't made changes in the course to get it to sync.
Once you have edited content in the course, the option to sync should start showing.
Thank you.

Hi @JeffMonjack
The information @nwilson7 provided is correct. If you don't see the "de-cross-list" option, it means you don't have the permissions to complete that action. It would need to be performed by a Canvas administrator from your institution, or through Canvas Support, depending on the policies set by your institution. Some institutions do not allow Canvas Support to perform those either, and instead have you follow other routes such a request form or reaching out to an administrator directly.
You would have to follow those routes to get your courses de-cross-listed.
Thank you.

Hi @AlexStacy-CSD
Unfortunately, through Canvas the view will separate each of these files. You can have them request the students to add all the information in the same doc file before submitting so it is just one file. But there isn't a way to have it show all of the at the same time.
You are welcome to share an idea with us.
