While that's probably true, I'm not asking about "due date creation."  My question is focused on "assignment creation."

As shown in the screenshot I shared, my "Course Content" notifications were already disabled. So, there's nothing to change in the red highlighted region.

I will try changing the due date notification setting to see if that makes a difference.  (I will probably have to wait until next Sunday when teachers create a lot more assignments to see if it worke...
