Prior to teaching, I was in the technology field primarily in the Open Source Development area. We worked with such technologies as PHP, MYSQL, JQuery, and Javascript.

I agree. I believe it would make our lives much easier if this feature was available.
This is true. No matter how many comments I put for my students, they always manage to not see any of the comments for the assignments.
