Thank you @Chris_Hofer for the news! It is very exciting. I had actually heard about this a couple of days ago and have been trying to get it set up in my school's system. I used the How do I configure my institution's Zoom app to send cloud recordings to Canvas Studio? instructions and I think everything is fine except for the "Redirect URL for OAuth field [1]" I have tried several different addresses there, and nothing works. I have reached out to support, but they are unfamiliar. I emailed support and am waiting for a response. If you get yours working, I'd love to hear what you put. I tried our Canvas address, it didn't work. Is it supposed to be a Zoom address? It just isn't clear.

We are switching from Kaltura and we have been able to automatically have all of the cloud Zoom recordings automatically go into Kaltura. Is this possible with Studio? What I'm asking is if Zoom and Studio are both active in Canvas, is it possible for recordings to go directly into Studio without having to manually download from Zoom and then upload them to Studio?

I have an ongoing PD course that I periodically make updates to. I would like to be able to quietly make updates in the course without participants getting notifications each time something is changed. I have some who have completed the course, who don't need them but can use the course as a reference, and some of the changes are just in appearance and don't need a notification to go out. Currently, I am adding the elements from Design Plus to a few courses and don't want these announcements to go out at all. Since things have been submitted, I can't unpublish the course. If I unpublish the module they are in and have the menu items hidden, will that keep the announcements from going out? Those in the class get annoyed when they get updates all the time, and I have a lot of updates to make. Thanks.

I have a group of videos that I need to make available in 4 classes. I have made the videos into a collection and now I need to make them available to the classes. I can only find the option to share with individuals and not with classes. What am I missing?

Has anyone else noticed that if the Assignment Enhancements are turned on for Students that the Turnitin results don't show when students submit assignments with Turnitin attached? In order to see the results, the students have to go into Grades and then into the Turnitin System?

The problem is nothing automatically messages students, everything has to be done manually. New analytics is great and provides a lot of great information, but it won't automatically send out messages to students who anything without going in and manually setting it off. This is problematic.

Alerts (Course Settings) Allows user to configure alerts in Course Settings. Alerts are a seldom-used feature designed to send an alert to students, teachers or admins for specific triggers (e.g., no student-teacher interaction for 7 days). They are checked every day, and notifications will be sent to the student and/or the teacher until the triggering problem is resolved. I would like to see the Course Alert feature function to be able to send automatic emails/messages to students who haven't logged in, completed assignments, etc. Most of the other LMS' have a similar built-in tool, why doesn't Canvas? I know I can buy something separate to do this, probably. But the tool is already mostly built, why not finish it?

There should be a discussion post history similar to how there is a page history. Instructor's should be able to see the history of edited posts made by students. Many faculty have the problem with students posting their initial post of a word or less and then going back and changing that to a real post, but the faculty member has no way to track that behavior without reworking how the discussion board works. Allowing the history would allow the instructor to see the original post and the changes the student made. When necessary, the instructor can use this as documentation. When edit is used as intended, no harm, no foul.

I was just thinking about this today myself. I was wondering if this helped at all if the course occurred during a previous term that has caused the course to become a Previous enrollment? It would be nice to be able to make the course only available to the student who needs to complete the makeup.

I've also noticed that LTI items that aren't even possible to use in that context are available here, causing confusion. Idea, have a list somewhere to easily choose what apps can and cannot be chosen in different contexts.

What has ever happened with this idea? I used to do this with Blackboard and am shocked that it is not a feature, especially since it was proposed three years ago. I see it still isn't possible, anyone know if it is on the roadmap?

I really like the idea of Mute notifications if it allows the instructor to keep notifications from going out? Does it? I can't tell you how many times I make little tweaks to content or to a PD course where faculty stay in the course after they have finished it and I don't want every little change going out to them as a notification. Is that what this does or does it just let the student keep from receiving them?

When I embed a Youtube video in Canvas and look at the page in the Mobile app, the video is there ready to play. When I do the same with a Kaltura video, there is just a box that says open external tool. Is there some setting I don't have turned on? Surely something we pay for has to have a better integration that that. What am I missing? Students aren't watching the videos, probably because they don't even know what the "external tool" is. Suggestions??

Thank you so much for your help. I've been scouring everything. The attendance picture is particularly helpful. I was able to go into Zoom and copy the invitation into Outlook, but that was definitely an extra step I was hoping the integration would help with. I guess you fix one problem and cause another.

Yes, the Zoom in Canvas document has you basically link to meetings created in the Zoom app but not using any actual integration. The other document is what I used to get everything set up. Unfortunately, the instructions are vague to say the least. I was hoping to benefit from others who have already been using for a while.

Hello I recently installed Zoom LTI Pro for my school with the Calendar and Conversation integration and it seems to be working pretty well, but I have a couple of questions. I have the Attendance Report option on, can someone show me what they will look like? Is there a way to schedule when the Message will go out about a scheduled meeting? It seems like they go out as soon as they are scheduled. Not particularly useful if you are planning meetings for the semester. Have many turned the Conversation feature off because of the immediate messaging? I love that the meetings go to the Canvas calendar, but is it possible to make them into Appointment Groups to allow students to register in Canvas and potentially across different classes? Any idea why Zoom meetings created in Canvas make it onto your calendar in the Zoom app but don't make it to Outlook like other Zoom meetings do. Thank you all for your help and advice Christine
