Thanks for the response. Would a student also be able to use this to test out what-if grades, say before the last mid-term and assuming they plan to (or would like to) skip the final? Thanks.

Final exams in my course are optional, if a student is satisfied with their current grade then they can choose not to take the final and their current grade will be their final grade. The final, if taken, is to replace the lowest mid-term exam score, regardless of whether it improves their grade or not. (If I have to spend the extra time to grade it, then it WILL count.) So I've been trying to set this up using the assignment rules available, I know I can drop a low score and assign the final as a never-drop score, but how does this affect calculated grades for students who opt-out of the final? Will it also drop a low score for them? Thanks, Ben

Student presentations are a requirement in my class, but with our shift to online instruction the remainder of the semester, I have asked students who have not yet made a presentation to create and submit a Studio media file. I would like to post the submissions on Canvas, along with feedback forms for students to complete. I thought I might do this by editing the submitted Studio media files to insert a survey (quiz), but I guess that means I would have to somehow download and then edit the media. The alternative would be to post the media files unedited and post the survey (quiz) separately. Is any of this possible? Thanks.

I'm planning to use Canvas with embedded quizzes, where I plan to discuss the correct answer after the student has entered a response. So rather than limiting the number of attempts, I would like the students to be able to watch the video again, but then I would like to use the FIRST attempt for a grade.
