I remember this initially being on roadmap. I don't know why it was removed. Like many have stated, Vimeo has significant advantages over Youtube for many orgs and having this as an option would be a "killer feature".

I was wondering what updates are coming to the Studio API? We have some issues with some rather major limitations. Especially around users, Currently there is no way to change a users name (this happens as people get married or have their name legally changed for other reasons) and I was hoping the API could help us. I know this does not directly answer your question, but I thought it worth sharing. Have you thought of using Canvas Conferences instead? We are using the paid version and it gives a great report for educators of student attendance including: 'When the student joined When the student disconnected Total online duration Activity score showing how much they participated. This has been a lifesaver for us in taking attendance and quantifying exactly what was required to be seen as "In attendance". Julian

I have noticed that a little while back Screencast-O-Matic added support for chromakey. As Studio is using this tech under the hood for editing, can we expect to see this functionality soon as well? Howdy all, We recently had an issue with an assessment where several students are claiming that they started uploading their assignment but that it took too long and it crossed the threshold of due date and kicked them out. For the record, I think this is a "dog ate my homework" but need to be able to prove it. Questions: If a student is still uploading while a "due date" kicks over, does it indeed spit them out? Is there a way (with API or otherwise) to get a detailed log on when they started uploading so we can call them out? Thanks JR P.S. The access report is not working for me as it shows last they accessed the assignment. They have already been back since the task was u[ploaded and therefore this date is inaccurate for many.

From an equitable/accessible standpoint I think this would be a fantastic feature but, like many, would require some detailed thought before implementation. I know of many cases it would be useful for my students however and am giving it a vote. J
