Hi all, I have a class with a teacher (enrolled using their email address) who logs in using their email address and password (no single sign-on configured). I would like 10 students to have access to the class without me ever knowing any of their Personally Identifiable Information (PII). This means email addresses can't be used. Is there a way to add students with a username and password that can be manually given to the students without the need for email? Thanks

The google calendar link points to a calendar without permissions to see the events. The screenshot of a month doesn't include day names. Not all countries start their weeks on the same day.

When adding LTI apps to a module, the pick-list has a maximum of 100 LTI apps to choose from with only the first 100 in alphabetical order being displayed. IDEA - Allow for an unlimited number of LTI apps

Another 'gotcha' I found - It only reports courses for the requesting user. This means if you created the API keys as bob@example.com then you'll only see courses with bob enrolled (in any role). I've posted a question on this forum asking for a work around for that particular problem.

Hi Roger, All responses from Canvas are paginated. The default page size is 10 entries. The API documentation on pagination isn't great: Pagination - Canvas LMS REST API Documentation You can use the ?per_page parameter to set a larger page (e.g. api/v1/accounts/account_id/courses?per_page=100) but you can't just set this a huge number and be sure you'll get all your classes. You need to find a way in your chosen language to make repeated requests until you've retrieved all the pages. Hi, I have an admin account. When I use the courses endpoint (Courses - Canvas LMS REST API Documentation ) the response only includes courses I am a member of (as teacher, student, etc.) How can I get detail of all the courses on my instance please? I found there is a feature that requires all new accounts to accept a 'acceptable use policy' when they first login. It needs to be enabled by your CSM and you need to provide the content.

Hi, Is it possible to display a 'conditions of use' page to all new students when they first login? My current work-around is a page in a module at the start of every course with all requirement that the page must be viewed for the module to be marked as 'complete' and all subsequent modules have a condition that module 1 must be 'complete' before they can be accessed. I am using Blueprints with pages. When I insert an image in the page, the dialogue asks me where to find the file in the Canvas folders (see attached screengrab). Where should I be saving my files so they are not dependent on any particular admin user (who may leave) and can be accessed from all the clones of my Blueprint?

I've added a PDF file to a module (+ -> File -> [select a pdf]) It is displayed in a pdf viewer with buttons to zoom and navigate through pages. Above the PDF viewer is a link to download the file (see attached pic). I would like to prevent the link being seen. I've seen how people can hide things using CSS but I can't see any particular CSS class being applied to the download link (see attached for the source). Has anyone managed to hide this or can offer any advice? Thanks. Paul

Hi, It looks like the Show Module Item API call returns a ModuleItem object which includes the type of a module item (ExternalTool). Hi, I have a blueprint with LTI integrations. When I sync the blueprint to a new associated class, the LTI keys are copied to the associated class. Does anyone know of a way to update the LTI keys used for an assignment in the new associated class post-sync please? Thanks Paul

We have source material in .pptx format that is printed to a .pdf in 'page view' to make a student guide that has a slide at the top of the page and notes at the bottom. We do not want students to download a copy of the student guides due to the risk of losing our intellectual property. Is there a way to host this content in Canvas so students can read the content online but can't download a copy? I am aware we can use an LTI integration from another platform (such as VitalSource) but I'm looking for a native Canvas solution. Thanks,
