I just tried today and it worked! So I guess the Canvas engineers fixed it! 🎉🙏🏼
It will not accept m4a audio files though. All MacBook and Apple audio files are m4a. This is a real issue for teachers who are trying to add audio of them reading the question aloud as an IEP or 504 ...

I updated last week and didn't need to use Studio until today. It is likely related to the new OS, but unfortunately, the responsibility lies with Instructure to make their stuff work with Apple.....
