Hi, I am experiencing the same issue with custom parameters not being included in the content item during course copy. The original assignment is created using the LTI Advantage DeepLinking workflow, and the custom parameters appear in the LTI launch payload OK. However, when the assignment is copied to another Canvas course, the custom parameters do not appear in the launch payload of the copied assignment. This makes it difficult for the LTI tool to properly configure the copied assignment. The post above indicated that Instructure solved this issue in Sept 2021, but I can't get it to work with LTI 1.3. Anyone with a proposed solution, please help!

I'm also struggling with this issue, but at a different level:
I know that when an LTI Advantage app makes a service call (e.g., to post a score in Canvas), the flow starts with making an access token request from https://<canvas-install-url>/login/oauth2/auth
However, for multi-tiered accounts (e.g., a university system master account that encompasses several institutional accounts) it's not always easy to know which <canvas-install-url> to use. So my question boils down to:
Will using the URL https://canvas.instructure.com/login/oauth2/auth to request an access token always work for Canvas cloud accounts?

I am trying to use an LTI 1.3 app for an assignment. My local Canvas admin configured a developer key OK, and I used this to add the client_id for the app to my course using my instructor privileges. The app appears in the list of configured External Apps, but when I try to create an assignment and select External Tool for the submission type, the app does not appear in the list. Going back to Settings, the configured app lists its placements as "Account Navigation" and "Link Selection". Can anyone please tell me how to make this new app available for assignment submissions?
