Hello! I am Rose Chavez-Rocha (Mrs. Chavez) a Watsonville native with a career passion in teaching, which lead me to Center for Employment Training in the Salinas Center. I have over twenty years of experience in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Applications, and Office Management. I grew up in an agricultural family where I fell in love with crops and the land in all of its beauty. My career journey started in Pajaro Valley Unified School District then to the City of Santa Cruz and County jobs, the experiences I gained provided me the sight to pursue my real passion in helping teaching and helping others. As of May of 2019 when I joined CET up to now, I can tell you that I am fulfilling my dream of teaching students ages 18-45 technology and business skills in the community of Salinas and loving it! I would not be anywhere else. My BOA students are smart, humble and passionate about succeeding in life and obtaining a better job (not in the fields) where they can support their family and its because of them that I do what I do which is teaching with heart and passion the skills they need in business office administration.
