l.bolt Welcome Some of our students have experienced the same issue - we encourage them to clear the cache in their browser (using the appropriate browser for Canvas - for us that is Google Chrome), and re-start their browser window. For a more "geeky" answer: A 401 Unauthorized Error can occur due to: proper authentication credentials were not sent to the server within the requested time frame server rejects the authentication credentials An error can be addressed by logging out and logging back in (which we recommend first) clear browser cookies/cache (which we recommend first and second) check the URL (only if you sent them a link and not necessarily where they select "Join") flush DNS (requires a level of basic comp tech) --> open a command prompt > type ipconfig/flushdns > select ENTER to run the command I hope this information helps you and your students! @James Thank You Unfortunately, the analytics version we have is only showing the number of interactions. I copied my colleague above, so we can discuss a new version, and she's more versed in the API - JSON - CSV realm of pulling the info and making it look human-friendly, haha. I hope we can find a solution to make it look more like the "email" format you describe above. Again, thank you!

Hi, @monica_obstgart and Welcome! As an instructor, you can view all of your course announcements from the "Announcements" page (select "Announcements" tab from the course navigation menu). From here you can view, manage, delete, and lock your announcements. Here's a Canvas LMS Guide to assist: How do I use the Announcements Index Page? Assuming you want to pin a particular announcement to the top of the "Announcements" index page, I am not aware of a "pin" function. I hope this helps, Jeanna

Hi, @paul_burt and Welcome! I hope I fully understand your question(s) in order to provide a correct answer here - bear with me and correct it. The instructor reviews a quiz* as self... When previewing a quiz, a border (typically, red/purple hue) appears at the bottom of the screen and outlines the window. The border should display the word "Preview" to indicate that the instructor is previewing the quiz as if they are a student. In my experience, previewing a quiz as the instructor has not counted as an attempt. Here are some Canvas LMS Guides that may be helpful to you: How do I preview an assessment in New Quizzes? How do I view practice quiz results in a course? The instructor completes a quiz as "Test Student"... When completing a quiz via the "Student View", the course's 'Teacher' (e.g. your role in the course you teach) is automatically viewing a quiz as if they are the "Test Student". A "Test Student" quiz attempt does count as an attempt overall. Therefore, when going back into the quiz to adjust questions or settings, the error will appear (even if the quiz is not published). While in the "Student View" you are able to complete Quizzes, comment on Discussion Boards, etc. (within reason) to test out the functionality from students' perspectives. I also find that reviewing the functionality of the "Test Student" role is quite helpful when designing a course. Add an export option, preferably CSV, to the View Notifications list (found in Admin Tools). "From the "From the View Notifications tab, you can verify whether a user is receiving the appropriate notifications. The View Notifications feature must first be enabled in your account by your Customer Success Manager and can be managed as a user role permission. To view a user’s notifications, enter the user’s name in the Search People field. Click the user’s name, then enter a date range for which you want to view the user's notifications.
