I have published the syllabus in canvas and I can see it, but in Student View it is not visible.How do I make it visible to students?

How did I have my assignments, quizzes, discussions, etc. show up in columns in the Gradebook?I have published them and they are not showing up. In the canvas guide it says this happensautomatically....
