@rkolbe Thank you so much for including this! I had a lot of trouble finding a resource to help me use an image as a BACKGROUND for a Canvas page - most of what I found had to do with linking the images. This is life-changing! 🙂

I agree that Canvas needs a native spell-checker. We use Lockdown Browser and there is also no spell-checker there. My understanding is that an LMS spell-checker will work in Lockdown Browser., which is advantageous.

I've seen some old threads about a similar need for this feature.
At our university, students take a writing competency exam and the grading process needs to be completely anonymous. This means that not only do student names need to be hidden in SpeedGrader but also hidden in the Gradebook. This will prevent possible bias when grading.

I'd like to see the name of group-level discussions to be changed. It is confusing when there is a group-level discussion area and a course-level discussion area, but they function differently. Perhaps a name such as Group Chat or Group Conversations can help differentiate between their functions. My understanding is that this is an area where students can converse about their assignments together, but it is not meant to be an area for posting materials to be graded. Many students are posting their required responses/assignments in the group-level discussion area when they should actually be posting them in the course-level discussion area. They are having trouble seeing the difference. Instructors are grading incorrectly or inefficiently because they are looking for discussion posts at the course-level, but students are putting them at the group-level.
