Problem statement: Students need to be able to view their grades by semester. As a K-12 district that imports terms from our SIS, students can view All Grading Periods or by the quarter. Our students need to be able to view grades by the semester. Proposed solution: Students need a filter so that they can select quarters 1 and 2 for semester 1 and quarters 3 and 4 for semester 2. Teachers need to be able to easily modify quizzes and assign them to the appropriate students. On New Quizzes there needs to be a feature that allows for oral directions/reading of the quiz. Teachers would also like a feature that would eliminate an answer for appropriate students. An Assign to Everyone Except option would be nice. It would save a lot of clicking.

Currently students and teachers can write, highlight, draw, and comment on a PDF in the feedback section of an assignment. Students need to be able to interact with PDFs in this manner before the assignment is submitted. I would like to see this functionality added to make district curriculum easier for teachers to manage in Canvas and easier for students to interact with. I am a school district Canvas Coordinator (PK-12) and an online instructor for a university.
