Hello Canvas Community, We also have a faculty member that is experiencing this issue. Instructor r is unable to annotate student homework anymore and it says Download the mobile app to add comments or other annotations. . Instructor has tried on the chrome, incognito, firefox - same issue Instructor r also cleared cache and cookies on the browser - same issue Instructor also made sure the windows is not on a tablet mode by going to Select action center on the taskbar (next to the date and time), and then select Tablet mode to turn it on or off. @rgibson1, It's unfortunate, but we had to do the same. Our faculty had also posted announcements that had videos in them. The announcement with videos were posted at the beginning of a term and were scheduled populate on specific dates, but the videos were hidden. If you clicked edit, they were there, just not visible in the published mode. I received quite a few tickets on the issue along with the rubrics. ... View more

@dbrace  and @Katrina-Hess , I have reported it to Canvas and they provided no assistance and  they told me to report the issue here.  Unfortunately, at this time, I cannot find any documentation outlining this behavior, so I am unsure of whether this is expected (as in we have not yet added UI elements to display this content) or if this is unexpected (a bug). With that said, please note that this is still an early beta feature and expected to exhibit limited functionality and unexpected behavior.  I recommend asking the teacher in this course to consider disabling the 'Discussions Redesign' feature option, this should allow the hidden content to re-appear and please post a comment reporting this behavior in our Discussions Redesign Community Thread: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Discussions-Redesign/Discussions-Redesign-Early-Access/ba-p/463255.
