Canvas literally doesn't pay attention to anything written here. We switched to Canvas from Moodle and it's a **bleep** nightmare. How is it possible that there is no way to move items in bulk via a select radiobutton or a check button? MSDOS had file managers that could do that. We are paying to be tortured and neglected.

Hi, How can I set up the "bogus ignore it "as the default option for grade uploads to canvas? If i have a 30 column xlsx/csv file I don't want to develop Canvas Tunnel Syndrome by clicking 30 + times. In Moodle it's a default option, makes me think that Moodle was actually developed by humans vis-a-vis Canvas. Furthermore in Moodle there was an option to select a range of your excel sheet and copy paste that into the window and upload that without having to save the csv file first. Can we do that in Canvas and if not WHEN will be able to do that? Thank you

I had to go deep into Canvas API and to write a whole bunch of code in R to process the gradebooks. You need good coding skills to have a reasonably mediocre Canvas workflow, without them it's a nightmare.

Hi all, A simple question. I have about 10 assignments where students submit files. I just want to grade them as a 100 if a file has been submitted. I don't want to check/view/grade them manually. Else, I just want to export a csv with 1 for a file submitted for a particular assignment and 0 for nothing submitted. Something along the lines of https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Developers-Group/How-to-Count-Student-Discussion-Posts/ba-p/273466 but for assignments. Thank you!

Hi, First time Canvas user and the UX/UI already giving me nightmares. I set up several posts to which the students post replies. I don't want to check/grade/view/read every reply separately. If it's there, the student gets a 100, if not the students gets a 0 for that particular post. How can I make this happen? Easy in Moodle. Else how can I export the number of replies per post per student to csv? every line a student, every column a post and the cell is the number of replies? Browsed the forum and except some 404s couldn't find any pertinent info. Thank you in advance,

There is nothing simpler than that??? This was requested in 2016 and in 2020 there is nothing? We just transitioned to Canvas and it's a flaming mess.

Our uni just switched to Canvas from Moodle. Jesus, tickets outstanding for 4 years with a simplest and most obvious suggestions?? If I were on that IT committee and did my due diligence I would haven never allowed the switch to happen.
